An introductory video to a healthy program
Fitwits is an innovative, community-based program that helps kids and their families engage, think, and learn about health. It was created at Carnegie Mellon University by Kristin Hughes, and was featured in the August 2009 edition of Print magazine. Fitwits uses animated characters, the Fitwits and Nitwits, games, and animations to make learning about health and nutrition fun.
In Fall 2009, I had the opportunity to work with Kristin and create a 6-minute video that introduces Fitwits to audiences. We cowrote the script, and Kristin created storyboards for me to use as an outline. I was in charge of everything from filming and editing video footage, to selecting images and photos for the video, to combining all of the assets in After Effects to create the final product. The video shown below is a 1-minute sample. Click here to view the full 6-minute version.
Voiceover by Noah Levin. Fitwits characters, games, and animations were created by the Fitwits team. This project should be viewed with sound.
