An educational tribute

During my senior year at Wayne State University, I created an extensive interactive project about the life of the composer and artist John Cage. The project described Cage's unique work and philosophies using visual effects, sound, and text. Cage's work, especially later in his career, was based on chance and "exploring non-intention" (in his most famous composition, 4'33", the performer does not play a single note). My piece conveys these ideas by creating a multimedia experience that the user must navigate using intuition and chance. The result is my attempt to honor this extraordinary artist.
