A nontraditional information design project
This project was created for my Graduate Studio 1 class at Carnegie Mellon University. Our final assignment was to portray the "informational structure" of an object. My object was "Koyaanisqatsi," a film containing no plot, words, or characters. The challenge was deciding how to depict the structure of a film that, at first glance, has very little structure. In the end, I chose to create a motion piece focusing on the emotional qualities of the film, portrayed through its stunning images and powerful music.
